Students will be allowed to voice their concerns at the Student Fee Advisory Committee meetings on Feb. 19 and Feb. 20, but they will have to do so in the form of written statements at the conclusion of the meetings, and via online forms as opposed to expressing their concerns during the meeting itself, according to Eddie Daniels, director of campus activities. Sam Miller, assistant vice chancellor for student affairs, said a Web site will be available for students to access the form and an e-mail address where they can send their concerns.

Short-story author and novelist Laurie Stone read two of her stories at the Co-op Monday night. A majority of her stories are non-fiction. One piece is part of what she calls "memoir stories." The other story that she read was about her mother and how Stone could not, "hold on to her resistance to her because she is falling apart.

The image of the trail-weary naturalist hacking through dense thickets of tropical rainforest is the scene that most people would see as ripe for the discovery of rare species, new to the human eye. However, Dr. Janine Caira has described over 50 new species in an environment even less well-trekked - the interior of the ocean's sharks.
