Defensive Problems Hurt Huskies

Softball Splits With Pirates

After 40 games, it appears that the offensive struggles of the UConn softball team (18-22, 5-9 Big East) are a thing of the past. Lacrosse Without Big East Win

The women's lacrosse team (5-10, 0-5 Big East) split its two games over the cold and rainy weekend in Storrs, losing to No. 3 Georgetown, 12-8, on Saturday and defeating Colgate, 15-13, on Sunday. The Huskies lost their fifth straight Big East contest on Saturday to the Hoyas (11-2, 4-0 Big East) in a game in which UConn hung on until the last minutes. (0) comments

The 2007 football recruiting class took a huge blow over the weekend when Aaron Hernandez, brother of current quarterback D.J. The golf team will have their final tournament of the year as they travel to Dade City, Fla. for the Big East Championship at Lake Jovita Country Club. The tournament will be the Huskies' last chance to salvage a below average season. "We haven't been getting what we'd like to out of our guys this spring," said head coach Ron Dubois. (0) comments

Husky Defensive Ends Chosen In CFL Draft

However, due to CFL rules, neither player must report to their respective teams right away. (0) comments

At least it wasn't sleeting and snowing, but the track meet this past weekend was still cold and rainy. The men's outdoor track team won its second home meet of the season on Saturday. It was the third time that the men faced off against Brown in three weeks, and UConn came up on top of each series. (1) comment
