After poor weather kept them off the field for two weeks, the Huskies softball team faces another storm this weekend. UConn heads to New York Saturday to take on the St. John's Red Storm in a doubleheader that begins at noon. Almost five months later, Quinnipiac finally got something out of Storrs - Associate Head Coach Tom Moore. After weeks of contemplation with D.J. Hernandez, head coach Randy Edsall announced Tuesday that Hernandez would try out for the wide receiver position this spring and not quarterback. The women's track team is set to compete in sunny Atlanta, at the Yellow Jacket Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the George C. Griffin track, which should be different from the harsh conditions the Huskies were facing last week. After snow and icy conditions cancelled the Army Invitational, the team's runners caught up on quality training over the weekend while the field athletes were invited to compete at the Connecticut College Invitational in New London.
