Last week, the College Board, a non-profit organization that assists high school students with SAT and college preparation, quit the loan business. They based this decision on research conducted by Andrew M. Cuomo, Attorney General of New York, who investigated the actions of the $85 billion student loan industry. (0) comments

In the last week liberals have gotten three things that they have wanted for a long time. First, Karl Rove - the perpetual thorn in their side - resigned from the Bush administration, hopefully to put his efforts towards electing the next Republican president although the man may deserve to rest for a month or two. Almost every person in the United States has, at one point or another, visited a medical institution. This visit may be as simple as a physical at a family doctor or as extensive as a prolonged hospital visit. Regardless of the nature of the contact with the healthcare system, an extremely detailed medical record is generated. (0) comments

It all started this summer at a benefit concert, raising money for Zimbabwe, in New York. From an obstructed-view section in Madison Square Garden, I watched thousands of obliviously privileged 18- to 25-year-olds cheer for a country they couldn't locate on a map. (0) comments
