A Mansfield man was found dead in the woods next to his home Saturday, according to a State Police report.

Matthew Guyette, 24, lived just over 2 miles away from the UConn campus on Codfish Falls Road.

According to the report, Guyette was reported missing by his family on Wednesday, Sept. 19.

There is "no criminal aspect" to the case, according to State Trooper William Tate and though the incident is still being investigated, no foul play is suspected.

Guyette graduated from E.O. Smith High School in 2001, according to the Hartford Courant. He was an honors student and played catcher for the school's baseball team.
