American Bashing of Israel Must Cease

Israel is a good friend to freedom lovers across the globe. They support America in its quest to fight terrorism. They have a military that honorably protects the citizens of Israel. Additionally, Israel provides more basic rights to its people than any other nation in the region. The growing anti-Israeli sentiment present in America today is disturbing because it demonstrates how effective dishonest media can really be. Americans must decipher fact from fiction when learning about Israel, a task that is made difficult when news organizations print lies about how Hezbollah is a guerilla group. Hezbollah is a despicable organization that sets the cause of rational Muslims back, and describing it as anything less is simply false. A look at the facts shows Israel is a great ally in the extremely volatile Middle East and we should respect it rather than reproach it.

Why is it that Americans can criticize every other nation in the world, including our own ... but hands off Israel? If society has been misled or the media have been dishonest, then set us straight. (Continued…)

This article is full of fallacies...
1) It is so hypocritical that you are so proud that Israeli newspapers have the freedom to criticize the Israeli government (and its violations of international and humanitarian laws), yet you are so angry when American media and newspapers occasionally do the same thing!
2) It is flat-out dishonest to ignore the very crucial question of why those angry neighbors of Israel are angry in the first place. (Continued…)

Well-written article. People just don't understand that the Israeli government is TRYING to make peace. They are TRYING to give away the West Bank. It's just that no responsible government will take it. (Continued…)
