10:38 p.m. - Police charged Laura Ciesla, 21, of Milford with failure to drive in the proper lane and operating a vehicle while under the influence. Police observed Ciesla run her vehicle over a curb on Hunting Lodge Road. Police stopped Ciesla and suspected her to be driving under the influence of alcohol. She was given a series of field sobriety tests, which she failed.

12:12 a.m. - Police charged Joshua Blue, 23, of Hartford with failure to grant right of way to a private road, failure to drive right and operating a vehicle while under the influence. A UConn police officer observed Blue pull out of Huskies Bar and into oncoming traffic traveling on King Hill Road. The officer then observed the vehicle enter the westbound lane and head directly toward her. Blue was subsequently stopped, and the officer suspected him to be intoxicated. Blue was subjected to a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed.



12:15 a.m. - Police charged Joshua Arons, 18, of West Hartford with failure to have headlights lit and operating a vehicle while under the influence. Arons was stopped by UConn Police for driving without his headlights lit on North Eagleville Road. Officers suspected Arons may have been drinking alcohol and subjected him to a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed.



12:56 a.m. - Police charged Kwaku Ayebi-Awuah, 23, of West Haven with failure to drive in the proper lane, evading responsibility and operating a vehicle while under the influence. Police observed Ayebi-Awuah drive up onto the sidewalk on Hillside Road and strike a street sign. He then tried to leave the scene of the accident but was stopped by the police. Police suspected Ayebi-Awuah to be intoxicated and subjected him to a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed.



10:00 p.m. - Police charged Benjamin Martin, 21, of Watertown with operation while under the influence and possession of a controlled substance or less than 4 ounces of marijuana. While conducting a DUI checkpoint, police suspected Martin to be operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. He was given a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was also found to be in possession of a marijuana smoking pipe and .2 grams of marijuana.
