Games With Summer
Good Game

Summer is normally a difficult time for video game players, as companies time their biggest releases for the holiday season to get the largest profit from their releases. This forces players to beat games in their library that they weren't quite able to complete during the year. If the recent releases of "Grand Theft Auto IV" and "Mario Kart Wii" were any indication, this summer will provide players with must-have titles that will keep them busy until school starts again.
On May 6, the first title from Steven Spielberg's collaboration with EA Games will be released on the Nintendo Wii. "Boom Blox" has been described as a three-dimensional, physics-intensive "Tetris" and is meant to appeal to fans of the overlooked puzzle genre. The game is expected to sell because of its tie to Spielberg and the exposure the game gets for being associated with the director, but the $50 price tag is a bit much for a puzzle game.
May 20 and 21 see the release of "Haze" for the Playstation 3 (PS3) and "Wii Fit" for the Wii. "Haze," a futuristic first-person shooter focusing on biomedical warfare, is a temporary exclusive for the PS3. "Wii Fit," which costs $90, will come with a balance board. It is Nintendo's newest attempt to appease a casual audience, this time with concentrating on providing workout exercises including strength training, aerobics, yoga, and balance games.
The long awaited sequel to Xbox game "Ninja Gaiden" will be released on June 3. "Ninja Gaiden II" will be a bloody and visceral experience, with players being able to tear appendages from their adversaries as protagonist Ryu Hyabusa traverses real-world locations to battle the Black Spider Clan.
A week later on June 12, "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots" will be released for the Playstation 3. This is said to be Solid Snake's final mission, in which he chases nemesis Liquid Ocelot around the globe to foil his plans of global domination.
"Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift," a sequel to the Square Enix-developed Game Boy Advance strategy-RPG, will be released for the Nintendo DS on June 24.

Not to question your journalistic abilities Mr. Dutra, however, I've been an avid follower of the production and advertising of Haze for over a year and a half now. (Continued…)
