Game of the Week: No. 1 UConn 88, No. 2 North Carolina 58 (Monday) - In their first game without injured starter Caroline Doty, the Huskies left no doubt as to who the top team in the country should be by snapping the Tar Heels' 31-game home winning streak at the Dean Smith Center in Chapel Hill. Sophomore Lorin Dixon, who started in place of Doty, finished with career highs in points (14), rebounds (8) and minutes played (33).

Key Performance: Freshman Victoria Flowers sets school weight throw record - With a throw of 20.30 meters, Flowers finished in first place for the weight throw event in the BU Terrier Invitational Friday. The throw broke a seven-year-old school record. The previous record, set by Wadudah Nurul-Islam in 2002, was 19.79 meters.

Big Letdown: Men's hockey blown out twice by Mercyhurst - The frustrations continued this past weekend for the struggling men's hockey team as Mercyhurst outscored UConn by a combined score of 13-2 over its two game sweep of the Huskies. UConn has just one win in its past 10 games.

Wish We Were There: No. 3 UConn 69, No. 19 Notre Dame 61 (Saturday) - Notre Dame came in with the longest active home winning streak in the nation and left with a crushing eight-point defeat at the hands of the Huskies. Jeff Adrien finished the game with 12 points and a career-high 19 rebounds.

Number of the Week: 7 - The number of points the women's basketball team held Cincinnati to in the first half of the Huskies' 65-34 road win Saturday. It marked the second-fewest points allowed by the Huskies in a half in school history.
