Joseph Wilson, 22, of New Haven, was arrested at 1:34 p.m. in Sam's Market Parking Lot and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance or less than four ounce of marijuana. Officers observed Wilson holding a bag containing a green leafy substance while sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of Sam's Market on North Eagleville Road. Further investigation revealed the substance to be marijuana. He was given a Feb. 10 court date. Bond was set at $500.

Sarah Beardsley, 56, of Ashford, was arrested at 8:03 p.m. on Hunting Lodge Road and charged with failure to carry insurance identification, failure to drive right and operation while under the influence. According to police, Beardsley was the operator of a motor vehicle which was stopped on Hunting Lodge Road near Holinko Apartments for a motor vehicle violation. Beardsley was suspected of being intoxicated and was subjected to a series of field sobriety tests, which she failed. She was given a Feb. 2 court date. Bond was set at $500.



Alexander Kiss, 18, of Shelton, was arrested at 2:17 a.m. on North Eagleville Road and charged with interfering with an officer, assault on an officer and disorderly conduct. Officers responded to Batterson Hall for a report of an intoxicated male who was engaged in loud, tumultuous behavior and being combative toward the UConn Fire Department. Upon arrival, the Fire Department reported to police that they had been spit on by Kiss. Kiss was given a Feb. 3 court date and released after posting a $1,000 bond.



Adam Wilson, 23, of Willington, was arrested at 1:10 p.m. at UConn Police Headquarters and charged with second degree failure to appear. According Wilson turned himself into police after learning of an active warrant for his arrest. The warrant was for a failure to appear in the second degree related to an incident on June 28, 2007, when Wilson was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and charged with operation while under the influence and possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, police said. Wilson was given a Feb. 3 court date and released after posting a $1,000 bond.
