Richard Forcier, 48, of Beacon Falls, was arrested at the UConn Co-op at 1:34 p.m. and charged with sixth degree larceny. According to police, Co-op loss prevention personnel observed Forcier leave the store with a shirt, valued at $21.99, without paying for it. He was given a Feb. 10 court date. Bond was set at $500.



Marcos Prates, 24, of Willimantic, was arrested at 2:05 a.m. on North Eagleville Road and charged with failure to drive right, traveling unreasonably fast and operation while under the influence. Prates was stopped by officers and suspected of operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was subjected to a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed. Prates was given a Feb. 9 court date. Bond was set at $500.



Michael Congdon, 18, of Gales Ferry, was arrested at 12:48 a.m. on Gilbert Road and charged with possession of a controlled substance or less than four ounces of marijuana. Officers stopped a vehicle in which Congdon was a passenger. After a brief investigation, Congdon was found to be in possession of 2.8 grams of marijuana. He was given a Feb. 10 court date. Bond was set at $500.

Jon Paul Roche, 20, of Vineland, N.J., was arrested as 2:04 a.m. on Hillside Road and charged with failure to obey a control signal, operation while under the influence and possession of alcohol by a minor. Officers stopped a vehicle operated by Roche for failure to stop at a traffic signal. Roche was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and was subjected to a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was also found to be in possession of alcohol while under the age of 21. He was given a Feb. 9 court date. Bond was set at $500.

Andrew Levin, 21, of Wayne, Pa., was arrested at 11:03 p.m. on Glenbrook Road and charged with failure to display two headlights and operation while under the influence. Officers stopped a vehicle operated by Levin on Glenbrook Road for failure to display the proper number of headlights. Levin was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and subjected to a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was given a Feb. 9 court date. Bond was set at $500.
