The ones you should attend:
Men's Basketball: Michigan vs. No. 1 UConn, Saturday 6 p.m. at Gampel Pavilion, ESPN
The Huskies survived their first test as the No. 1 team on Monday with an impressive 17-point win over Louisville on the road. Now in their second game since earning the No. 1 ranking, UConn hosts the Wolverines at Gampel.
Early on in the season, it looked as though Michigan would become one of the surprise teams to make the tournament. Michigan beat teams like Duke, UCLA and Illinois. But the Wolverines have been on a slump of late, dropping five of their last six games.
Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving: Yale vs. UConn, Saturday 1 p.m. at Wolff-Zackin Natatorium
Chances are, you have no idea how good our swimming and diving teams are. Well, here's the rundown: the men are 7-0 and the women are 7-1. Saturday is senior day for both teams. If you rooted for Michael Phelps in the Olympics, take an hour of your day to cheer on the Huskies in the always refreshing Natatorium.
The one you should follow up on:
Women's Basketball: No. 1 UConn at Marquette, Saturday 8 p.m., CPTV
Everyone knows how great the Huskies are, and with a lopsided win over in-conference rival Rutgers Tuesday, it still appears as if UConn is untouchable. Nonetheless, the Huskies will have to go into the great state of Wisconsin fighting for their 23rd win. Look for Tina Charles to try and get back into a rhythm after a quiet game against Rutgers.
