Game of the Week: UConn 69, Michigan 61 (Saturday) - The Huskies survived a surprisingly tough match up with the unranked Wolverines to pick up their 11th straight win and second as the nation's No. 1 team. Jerome Dyson had a team-high 19 points, eight of which came in a 14-4 second-half run that put UConn on top for good.
Key Performance: Hasheem Thabeet - UConn coach Jim Calhoun pegged "The Thabeet factor" as the difference in the Huskies' too close for comfort victory over Michigan. Thabeet finished with 17 points, 12 boards and six blocks - including a volleyball spike-style stuff that landed on Sunday's SportsCenter.
Big Letdown: UConn men's hockey swept again - was on the losing end of its third consecutive weekend sweep, this time at the hands of Air Force in Colorado. This also makes three straight big letdowns for this crew, who with 22 losses are one loss away from tying the worst total in coach Bruce Marshall's tenure. The Huskies battled back from a 2-0 deficit before dropping the first game 3-2. Air Force cruised to a 4-1 on Saturday to drop UConn's conference record to 5-15-1.
Wish We Were There: UConn 83, Marquette 49, Milwaukee, Wis. (Saturday) - It was business as usual for the Huskies, starting the game on a 17-1 run and never looking back to improve to a perfect 23-0 mark. Maya Moore had a game-high 22 points to go with 10 rebounds for her 11th double-double on the year.
Number of the Week: 5 - The number of men's basketball players in UConn history in the 1,000-point, 1,000-rebound club. Jeff Adrien joined the ranks with 14 boards in Saturday's win.
