So the 51st Annual Grammy Awards were this past Sunday. Didn't catch it? I'm not surprised; the whole thing is usually quite boring. Here, however, are the moments that set the 2009 Grammy Awards apart from the Grammys of recent memory.

Blink-182 reunite

"Together again, here's Blink-182," said the all-knowing and unseen, disembodied announcer woman. With that, five years of differences were gone, and Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge took the stage together for the first time since their breakup.

Hoppus stepped to the microphone and said, "Isn't it great to see the Jonas Brothers and Stevie Wonder back together again."

Barker added, "We used to play music and we decided to play music together again."

Hoppus again took the mic and finished the statement with, "Blink-182 is back!"

Jennifer Hudson's

triumphant return

Hudson, who won the award for Best R&B Album early in the night, took the stage and performed "You Pulled Me Through" and stole the spotlight performance wise … at least until the next entry on my list. Hudson's heartfelt performance was tremendous (but not quite as powerful as Kanye West's rendition of "Hey Mama," the 50th Grammy Awards one bright spot). With a full gospel choir on stage, Hudson stood centered stage and let it all out. If you weren't moved by this, you have no heart.

A very pregnant M.I.A. says the show must go on

Despite Sunday being the due date for her child, trendy Sri Lankan rapper M.I.A. decided to perform anyway - and clad in some odd fishnet, bathing suit piece no less. She began performing her smash hit, "Paper Planes," but partway through, gave the stage to the very stylishly dressed Jay-Z, West, T.I. and Lil Wayne. Arguably the best four MCs in the rap game today sharing the stage at once with the ever-vigilant M.I.A.? Nothing short of terrific. "Swagga Like Us" is genius on tape, and to see it in unfold live made it the best performance of the awards show.

I really enjoyed the gal who was the announcer. Does anyone know who she is? I love her.
