Have you ever thought to yourself, "Man, I love 'Dick In A Box!' I wish that Andy Samberg fellow would put out a whole album of novelty rap songs." Well, my friends, you're in luck because The Lonely Island's "Incredibad" is just that.

The Lonely Island, a trio of filmmakers/comedians, is made up of Samberg, director/writer Akiva Schaffer and actor/writer Jorma Taccone, who all met in junior high school in Berkeley, Calif. The three are responsible for the recent "Saturday Night Live" revival, most notably songs "Lazy Sunday," "Dick In A Box" and their latest sensation (and the first single off of "Incredibad"), "I'm On A Boat." If you haven't seen all of the above, stop reading this review, take a trip over to your computer and YouTube them. Now.

"Incredibad" is a mix of classic Lonely Island cuts with plenty of new material to make it worth the purchase; the only downside is the length. The album contains 19 tracks, yet clocks in at just over 40 minutes - it's over before you know it. Other previously released tracks included on the album listing besides the above mentioned include other SNL Digital Short hits "Jizz In My Pants" and "Natalie's Rap."

The album starts off strong with a string of tracks that are sure to make you laugh with their stupidity and one-liners. It all starts with "Who Said We're Wack?" - a brief wondering of who it was that declared The Lonely Island, well, wack. Skip this one and jump right into the good stuff with "Santana DVX," a comic rhyme about the fictional champagne named after guitarist Carlos Santana. The rest of the album is more or less the same, with a few notable tracks like "Boombox" (featuring Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas) and "We Like Sportz."

You have to understand, this is just novelty rap. This isn't an album meant to be taken seriously, but musically, it is not that bad. It's lots of fun, very funny and should have you entertained for a few days. If you liked any of the SNL digital shorts, give "Incredibad" a shot.

Unbelievable as it is, Santana DVX actually exists. You can see it on Santana's website:

There's also a line in the song about him "lady shoe producing". (Continued…)
