Juicy: What were they thinking?

The past few weeks have been littered with some "What were they thinking?" celebrity moments.
Of course, there was that shocking photo of Michael Phelps harming his body and breaking the law. Don't even get me started on that - I could go on for days about Phelps and his drug problem. It's very sad that an American hero - the man appointed by many as the only one who could save the sport of swimming - would place his mouth around a bong and inhale marijuana for enjoyment. Though it's difficult to do, let's try to forget about Phelps' irreparable mistake and take a closer look at two other recent celebrity scandals:
Feb. 5: Actor Paul Walker and Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell announce their engagement.
Walker is a 35-year-old millionaire. Pilchard-Gosnell is a 19-year-old college student. Something is wrong here. I don't know if you've seen the "Fast and Furious," but Walker is no slouch - he's fine as hell. Back in the early 2000s - when he was named one of People Magazine's most beautiful people - Walker was a hot commodity. Since then, however, Walker has fallen off a bit. His most recent movies are "The Lazarus Project," "The Death and Life of Bobby Z" and "Flags of Our Fathers." Walker recently signed on to star in "The Fast and Furious 4," but I wouldn't be surprised to see him in "To Catch a Predator" before his new movie hits theaters in April.
All jokes aside, Walker's proposal is not much of a surprise. Earlier in the decade, teenage and pre-teen girls were absolutely infatuated with him (I would know - the words "Paul Walker" made my two younger sisters blush and often drool). Walkers one problem: older women looked past his good-looks and judged him on his horrific acting. Pilchard-Gosnell was 11 years old when "The Fast and Furious" was released, so she was probably too immature to realize just how bad of an actor he was.
God only knows how these two met - and fell in love - but hey, if they're happy, more power to 'em. I'm sure Pilchard-Gosnell will hit it off with Walker's 9-year-old daughter, Meadow, as well. They can invite all their friends over to Walker's mansion for sleepovers where they'll stay up till 1 a.m., eat ice cream, jump on Walker's bed, sing "Hit Me Baby One More Time" and gossip about all the cute boys in school.
