A.J. Price's speed may do him wonders on the court, but it does the exact opposite on state roads.
The senior point guard appeared at Rockville Superior Court Wednesday to answer motor vehicle charges stemming from a Jan. 25 speeding incident in Coventry.
Coventry police stopped Price's vehicle for speeding along Route 31 around 2:30 a.m. Jan. 25 near Miller-Richardson Field. The speed limit in the area is 45 mph and Price was charged with driving between 60 and 85 mph. He was also charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended license and failure to carry registration and insurance cards.
Coventry police called the stop "normal and routine," and added that Price had been polite and respectful to the officer.
Price's case was continued to Wednesday, Feb. 25.
