NBA
Boston Celtics at Phoenix Suns, Sunday 2:30 p.m. on ABC
As of press time, the Suns still have Amare Stoudemire, so chances are he will still be there for the match up with the Celtics. Boston has won eight of its last 10, but the Suns have not been playing quite as well - losing five of their last 10. Perhaps Shaq's All-Star MVP can carry over into some success. They have won their last two, and scored at least 140 points in each.
Detroit Pistons at Cleveland Cavaliers, Sunday 8:00 p.m. on ESPN
Detroit is floating around .500 at 27-26, and while in years past that would be a sure ticket to the playoffs in the East, they are just barely in at this point. The Cavs, on the other hand, are still playing as well as they were at the beginning of the year, and are only two games behind the Celtics for the best record in the conference. Detroit has not been playing well of late, only winning three of their last 10.
New Orleans Hornets at L.A. Lakers, Friday 10:30 p.m. on ESPN
It's Chris Paul, the young superstar vs. Kobe Bryant, the verteran superstar on Friday. Hopefully, things aren't too awkard for Tyson Chandler and the rest of the Hornets' club.
NHL
Pittsburgh Penguins at Washington Capitals, Sunday 3:00 p.m. on NBC
There is one reason to watch this game and one reason only - Alex Ovechkin. Ovechkin has 42 goals on the season and if you watch SportsCenter at all, you know that most of the 42 goals have made it to the top 10 plays. A week ago Sidney Crosby would have been playing too but an injury has since sidelined him.
