Detroit Pistons at Boston Celtics, Sunday 1:00 p.m. on ABC
The Celtics will be going for the season sweep of A.I. and the Pistons (and the Pistons could definitely use the win). As of Thursday, Detroit finds itself two games fewer than .500 and currently in seventh place in the Eastern conference. The game is significant for the Celtics as well, since they are tied with the Cavs for first place in the conference.
Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix Suns, Sunday 3:30 p.m. on ABC
Immediately following the Celtics vs. the Pistons, Kobe and Shaq face each other for the second time in four days. Heading into Thursday, the Lakers have won five in a row, and nine of their last 10. They have a commanding lead in the Western conference, 7.5 games ahead of the second-place Spurs. If the playoffs started today, however, Phoenix would miss them, as they are 1.5 games behind eighth-place Dallas.
NCAA Basketball
No. 3 Oklahoma at Texas Tech, Saturday 3:30 p.m. on ABC
With Blake Griffin sidelined indefinitely with a concussion, Oklahoma appears to be very beatable, having lost two in a row in-conference. Even so, Texas Tech is in the bottom of a weak Big 12, and it would be hard to imagine them serving the Sooners a third straight loss. However, with Griffin's status remaining uncertain, anything is possible.
MLB - Spring Training
Los Angeles Dodgers at Colorado Rockies, Sunday 3:10 p.m.
While not on television, and also not a regular season game yet, this game has one thing to watch out for - and that's Manny Ramirez. He has yet to accept the Dodgers fourth $20 million offer, and if he does between now and Sunday, it will be interesting to see if he suits up for the game.
