Game of the Week: Heat erase huge fourth-quarter deficit to beat Knicks (Saturday
With the Heat trailing 98-83 heading into the fourth quarter, Dwyane Wade helped spark Miami to the 120-115 comeback win, scoring 15 of his team's points in a dramatic 19-0 run late in the game. Wade scored 24 points in the fourth quarter alone, in which the Heat outscored the Knicks 37-17.
Key Performance: Griffin's double-double in return snaps OU losing streak (Saturday)
The Sooners had lost two straight games with Griffin sidelined by a concussion. In his return Saturday against Texas Tech, Griffin made sure that Oklahoma wouldn't drop a third-straight by scoring 20 points and grabbing 19 rebounds in the 78-63 win. In the game Griffin also set the Sooners record for most rebounds in a single season with 391 this year.
Big Letdown: Cavaliers lose Wallace for four to six weeks with broken leg (Thursday)
Cleveland forward Ben Wallace was accidentally kicked by Houston center Yao Ming in Thursday night's 93-74 loss to the Rockets, and ended up breaking his right leg. Now the Cavaliers, a team already trying to find help for its frontcourt, must find a way to get through the next four to six weeks without one of their key big men, hurting their chances in a fierce battle for the Eastern Conference's top playoff seed.
Wish We Were There: Rupp Arena, Lexington, Ky. (Saturday)
For the first time in 20 years, LSU came away from Rupp Arena with a victory over Kentucky, defeating the Wildcats 73-70. LSU forward Tasmin Mitchell's 3-pointer with 10 seconds left snapped a 70-70 tie and helped propel the Tigers to the SEC regular season title.
Number of the Week: 80
The distance - in feet - that the puck traveled during Washington's Alexander Semin's game-winning overtime goal against Boston Saturday. Semin had just crossed center-ice before ripping the slap shot past the glove of Bruins goalie Tim Thomas.
