While UConn is beginning to bask in the spring sun, everything is gloomier for Jennifer Aniston.
John Mayer proved that relationships can run their course with longtime girlfriend and former "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston. The Chicago Tribune reports that the couple split last Friday.
Aniston, 40, and Mayer, 31, have broken up before. The first time was in August 2008. Mayer held a news conference outside of his New York gym to address the issue.
"I ended a relationship to be alone, because I didn't want to waste someone's time," he told tmz.com.
"All the 'cheating' stories are cheap lies," Mayer said. "It's the most normal thing in the world when a relationship runs its course."
However, there is still speculation as to which individual pulled the plug on the relationship this time around.
"Perhaps the astute Jennifer Aniston fans suspected that her romance with singer John Mayer was shaky when she was coy about whether he would attend her 40th birthday party back in February," according to the Tribune. "Appearing with Ellen DeGeneres on DeGeneres' talk show, Aniston confirmed various attendees - but not Mayer."
"They had some disagreements and decided to not continue to see each other," a source told People magazine. "Jen is moving on with her life like she always does. She seems happy."
A second source told the magazine that Mayer broke up with Aniston after she returned from Europe. That's tough - getting over jet lag and a romance at the same time.
And Aniston and Mayer aren't the only couple that have parted ways over spring break.
A few months after they welcomed their beautiful son Tripp into the world, Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston have parted ways.
According to celebrity-gossip.net, a source close to the couple claims that the split happened a couple weeks ago.
"It was a mutual thing. I'm not sure what caused [the breakup]." According to the Web site. "Bristol's doing okay. Tripp is fine."
Whether or not this is a surprise is relative, but one thing's for sure - the young couple has plenty of time to search for true love. A primary qualification for Palin's newest boyfriend? Must love children.

Jennifer Aniston was caught sleeping with Owen WIlson in Berlin. That is why Kate Hudson flew to Europe to spend some time with Owen. Jen called John Mayer to tell him she spent the night 'with someone', he put 2 and 2 together and called it quits. (Continued…)
