Kevin Soler, 19, of Stratford, was arrested at 2:35 a.m. at Hubbard Hall and charged with second degree burglary, third degree larceny and possession of a controlled substance or less than four ounces of marijuana. Officers responded to a report of a burglary of a laptop computer, power cord and small amount of cash from an apartment in Hubbard Hall. Witnesses identified Soler as being one of two individuals seen in the area at the time of the burglary. Upon further investigation, the stolen items, which were worth more than $1,000, were recovered from Soler's vehicle. Soler was also found to be in possession of 0.8 grams of marijuana, police said. He was given a March 31 court date and released after posting a $10,000 bond.



Marcal Gholston, 22, of Bridgeport, was arrested at 3:24 a.m. at Tower Court and charged with conspiracy to commit second degree burglary and third degree larceny. Officers responded to a report of a burglary of a laptop computer, power cord and small amount of cash from an apartment in Hubbard Hall. Witnesses identified Gholston as being one off the two individuals seen in the area at the time of the burglary. Gholston admitted to waiting outside the apartment while another male entered the apartment and stole the items, police said. He was given a March 31 court date and released after posting a $5,000 bond.



Aali Masood, 21, of Newington, was arrested at 4 a.m. at Garrigus Suites and charged with third degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. Officers responded to a report of a male urinating on a residence door and on the carpeted floor in front of the residence door. Witnesses identified Masood as the person responsible. He was given a March 31 court date. Bond was set at $1,000.

Amy Ferraro, 19, of Purchase, N.Y., was arrested at 3:21 p.m. at the UConn Co-op and charged with sixth degree larceny. Officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at the Co-op. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Ferraro had stolen two necklaces and three charms without paying for them. The total value of these items was $7.96. Ferraro was given a March 31 court date. Bond was set at $500.
