Ismael Ortiz, 22, of Meriden, was arrested at 12:47 a.m. on Hunting Lodge Road and charged with failure to have his headlights lit and operation while under the influence. Ortiz was the operator of a motor vehicle which was stopped at the intersection of Hunting Lodge Road and North Eagleville Road for having its headlights off. The officer suspected Ortiz was intoxicated and subjected him to a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed. He was given an April 6 court date. Bond was set at $1,000.

Daniel Ricketts, 20, of Windsor, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. at the Student Union and charged with second degree breach of peace. Ricketts became involved in a fight while attending a university-sanctioned event at the Student Union. He was given an April 7 court date. Bond was set at $1,000.

Kijuan Dabney, 20, of Humble, Texas, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. at the Student Union and charged with second degree breach of peace. Dabney became involved in a fight while attending a university-sanctioned event at the Student Union and had to be physically removed from the event. He was given an April 7 court date. Bond was set at $500.

Kevin Harris, 20, of Bloomfield, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. at the Student Union and charged with second degree criminal trespass. Harris became involved in a dispute with security members at a university-sanctioned event at the Student Union and was told to leave the building. After several requests, Harris was physically removed from the event. He was given an April 7 court date. Bond was set at $500.

Joseph Gelose, 18, of Niagara Falls, N.Y., was arrested at 8 p.m. in Sam's parking lot and charged with second degree forgery, misrepresentation of age to procure liquor and possession of alcohol by a minor. Officers observed Gelose, who appeared to be under 21, holding 24 beers. When officers asked him for his identification, it was determined he was underage. Gelose said he used a fake Vermont identification to purchase the alcohol, police said. He was given an April 7 court date. Bond was set at $2,000.
