UConn linebacker Kijuan Dabney was arrested early Sunday morning after getting involved in a fight at the Student Union, police reports said.
Dabney, 20, was charged with second degree breach of peace and was physically removed from the university-sanctioned event during which the fight took place. He was released on $500 bond and given an April 7 court date.
Daniel Ricketts, 20, Windsor, was arrested at the same place and time and also charged with second degree breach of peace. It has not been determined if the two were involved in the same fight.
Dabney saw time in six games last year for the Huskies as a reserve linebacker. As a freshman Dabney played in all 12 games, listed at strong safety but seeing the majority of his time on special teams. He recorded two tackles last season and five as a freshman. Dabney is expected to compete for a reserve linebacker spot in the fall.
