Another weekend, another slew of great matchups. While it's impossible to go see every game, here are some can't-miss UConn games for you to follow.
The one you should attend:
Men's and Women's Track and Field: UConn Invitational, Saturday, all day, George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex
Sure, you'll be spending most of Saturday waiting for the UConn men's basketball game against Michigan State, but while you're waiting, head down to the track behind the field house and watch two of UConn's elite teams in action.
The women's track team enjoyed historic success in the indoor season. The team was ranked in the top 25 for the first time in program history and captured its second consecutive Big East Championship.
The men's team also won the indoor track and field Big East Championship for the second consecutive time.
The one's you should watch:
Men's Basketball: No. 2 Michigan State vs. No. 1 UConn, Saturday 6:07 p.m., Ford Field in Detroit
College basketball analysts say that the Huskies will be dealing with one of the biggest home field advantages in the history of the Final Four. The only problem is, they're not the home team.
The Huskies will play Goran Suton and Michigan State in Detroit Saturday for the chance to play in UConn's first championship game since 2004.
Women's Basketball: No. 2 Stanford vs. No. 1 UConn, Sunday 9:30 p.m., Scottrade Center in St. Louis
Perhaps the most intriguing showdown of either the men's and women's NCAA Tournament. The Huskies will face Stamford, the team who knocked UConn out in the Final Four of last year's tournament.
The Cardinals' Jane Appel scored 46 points in Stanford's 74-53 victory over Iowa State in the Elite Eight.
