Jared Vanburen, 19, of Hebron, was arrested at 7:13 p.m. on North Eagleville Road and charged with fourth degree criminal mischief. Officers were dispatched to the School of Pharmacy after receiving a report of vandalism to several benches near the building. The responding officers observed four men on or near the benches. When the officer approached, the men left the area on bicycles but were located a short distance away and were detained. A brief investigation revealed that Vanburen had caused damage to two benches and the stone pavement in the area, police said. He was given an April 14 court date and released on a written promise to appear.
Amanda Grewer, 19, of Danbury, was arrested at 8:56 p.m. at Batterson Hall and charged with third degree assault and disorderly conduct. Officers were dispatched to Batterson after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. Grewer and her roommate were in a verbal disagreement, which became a physical altercation when Grewer struck the victim with her hands. She was given an April 3 court date. Bond was set at $1,000.
Rebecca Sanchez, 19, of Danbury, was arrested at 8:56 p.m. at Batterson Hall and charged with third degree assault and disorderly conduct. Officers were dispatched to Batterson after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. Sanchez and her roommate were in a verbal disagreement, which became a physical altercation when Sanchez struck the victim with her hands. She was given an April 3 court date. Bond was set at $1,000.

Christopher Hawthorn, 20, of Stamford, was arrested at 9:03 p.m. at Gampel Pavilion and charged with sixth degree larceny. Concert personnel observed Hawthorn stealing a $20 T-shirt from a vending table during the UConn spring concert. Officers responded and found that Hawthorn had concealed the T-shirt under his shirt. He was given an April 14 court date. Bond was set at $1,000.
Evgeniy Bashunov, 21, of Manchester, was arrested at 9:17 p.m. in Eddy Hall and charged with failure to keep a drug in its original container, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of possession of a controlled substance or less than four ounces of marijuana. Officers responded to a report of the smell of marijuana in Eddy Hall. After a brief investigation, Bashunov was found to be in possession of 2 grams of marijuana, 12 Adderall pills in an unmarked container and several types of drug paraphernalia. He was given an April 14 court date. Bond was set at $2,000.
