Point/Counterpoint: Who will win the Stanley Cup?
Dylan DeSimone and Marc Gauthier

Pittsburgh Penguins
Since signing Bill Guerin at the NHL trade-deadline, the Pittsburgh Penguins have been rolling, winning 12 of their last 17 games of the regular season. With two of the most offensive players in the NHL in Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin - both recording over 100 points - the Penguins will be a tough team to beat and will be the team to come out of the Eastern Conference.
Boston Bruins
The Boston Bruins, the number one seed in the Eastern Conference entering the playoffs are a favorite going forward. With a well-balanced team, offensively and defensively, and a superstar in the net - the pack is a threat to anyone who shares the ice with them.
Marc Gauthier: Behind the power of Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin and the Pittsburgh Penguins have a great shot of hoisting up the Stanley Cup at the end of the playoffs.
Dylan Desimone: The top-ranked Boston Bruins have an excellent opportunity to be the last team standing at the end of this NHL season with a well-balanced team back by a lot of depth.
Marc: Sure, the Bruins have talent, but honestly, they have their work cut out for them in the first round against the Montreal Canadiens. I'm not sure they'll even advance to the second round.
Dylan: The team is tied for the most wins in the NHL with San Jose with 53. They also have the best goalie playing for them. Tim Thomas has worked strenuously on his conditioning, improved his ability to never quit on a play and his general athleticism as a goalie has been phenomenal
Marc: Thomas has been a beast for the Bruins, but I have to question how the Bruins will play against the Canadiens. Sure, Boston beat Montreal 5-4 in OT at the end of the season, but the two teams have a long standing rivalry. You have to think Montreal is going to come at Boston with everything they've got to take this series to a possible seven games.
Dylan: The possibility of a Game 7 should not go overlooked, but Boston is a team that can go just as hard in overtime as they did coming out of the gate in the first period. Offensively, the Bruins can sit pretty comfortably. They have seven skaters on their roster with 50-plus points. Marc Savard - ninth in the league in points and sixth in assists - is having a spectacular season.
