On April 20, things just look a little greener.

Spring is blooming, the air is filled with the sweet dank odors of nature, and high spirits abound. With finals just around the corner, there is no time like the present to chill out. So today, lower your stress levels and enjoy the beginnings of warm weather and the closing of a semester, and let these musical nuggets provide the relaxing backdrop to your day.

"Dear Mr. Fantasy"- Traffic

This warm weather song will melt away all stress from the minute lead singer Steve Winwood opens his mouth. With its calming guitar and mellow sound, this song will make you want to sing a song, play guitar and make it snappy.

"Jammin'"- Bob Marley

The reggae titan of music legends, it simply wouldn't be 4/20 without Bob Marley. One of his more laid-back tunes, this song incites memories of summer and complements any outdoor fun. To think that jammin' was a thing of the past…

"Me Gustas Tú"- Manu Chao

Though many are unfamiliar with the multi-lingual Manu Chao, this artist is one of the best to enjoy when relaxing. With his reggae infused folk sound, Manu Chao sings in both Spanish and French giving him a different sound than a lot of mainstream reggae artists. With lyrics such as "Me gusta marihuana, me gustas tu" Manu Chao will provide listeners with a relaxing yet cultural experience.

"Bandolero"- Slightly Stoopid

With its melodic reggae sound and Notorious B.I.G references, this song can make any listener a little less tense. Known for its acoustic reggae sound, this band knows how to get listeners in a more peaceful state of mind, and encourages listeners to "roll a little faster" and stay motivated.

"Pass the Dutchie"-

Musical Youth

A song about sharing, this song encourages manners and group involvement. Though many confuse this term with its cigar counterpart, a "dutchie" is actually a slang term for a cooking pan used by impoverished Jamaicans. So when hanging around today, remember that sharing with others is a good way to make and keep friends, and when sharing always pass it on the left hand side.

"Hits from the Bong"-

Cypress Hill

With lyrics that just seem to say it all, this is a classic song with a solid backbeat. A different genre than most of the other songs on this list, this song has a softer hip-hop sound, thanks to the musical workings of group Cypress Hill. This song encourages listeners to stay neat and to practice proper liquid storage with lyrics such as "Home skillet / There's water inside don't spill it."
