UConn linebacker Scott Lutrus, 21, of Brookfield, was arrested at Celeron Square Apartments on Thursday night. He was charged with interfering with police.

According to police reports, Lutrus, one of four UConn captains, and his 23-year-old brother Kyle, also of Brookfield, were involved in a fight at the off-campus apartment complex. Kyle, who does not attend UConn, was charged with two counts of interfering with a police officer and second-degree breach of peace.

Officers were dispatched to a report of a fight on Hunting Lodge Road near the entrance to Celeron Square Apartments, reports said. Upon their arrival they attempted to detain Lutrus, who resisted and began fighting back against the officers. After becoming loud and combative Lutrus was arrested.

The arrests were among 19 made on Thursday night and 111 made over the course of the weekend.

Lutrus, a two-year starter for the Huskies, led the team with 106 tackles last season after being named a first-team Freshman All-American in his first year with UConn. He was released on $500 non-surety bond.
