Forget the sand, get frisky in the water

As summer approaches, the weather isn't the only thing heating up. People start showing more skin, the end of classes creates a sense of freedom and good moods seem to abound. But the weather does more than provide good moods - it provides a whole new plethora of places to get frisky with a partner.
Sure, sex on the beach is delicious in a glass, but more than anything it's a sexy way to enjoy a summer day. But as sex in public is illegal, avoid getting too hot and heavy on the beach. This will not only result in sandy chaffing, but will probably disturb the families and children nearby.
Want a better option? Wade out into waist-deep water so that both partners are adequately covered. Have one partner wrap their legs around the other, and align pelvises while pushing bathing suit bottoms aside. The water helps buoy body weight, making holding one person up an easier feat. Before starting, try and adjust to the wake of the water so you aren't forced underwater or thrown around while enjoying yourself.
While having fun, try to keep in mind a few things. Remember that STDs and sperm can both still survive underwater, so crabs won't just be found in the sand. Men should suit up with condoms before getting in the water to avoid slipping - and try a second form of birth control as well, as condoms do not work to their full efficiency underwater.
If the ocean makes you feel more salty than sexy, give freshwater lovin' a chance. Freshwater lakes and streams may often be less populated than crowded beaches, and the lack of waves creates a smoother experience.
Yet you should be careful in fresh water as well, as according to Health & Sexuality columnist Lisa Hermann, "natural bodies of water have the potential to harbor some unusual bacteria and/or amoebas." This can put women especially at risk of infection, and that's a sure-fire way to kill a goodtime.
For nighttime, hot tubs are a traditionally sexy place to have some fun. With seating generally available within, hot tubs are designed for relaxing and having fun. Try to keep your chest and above out of the water to prevent overheating, and be creative in your use of the powerful jet streams.
But again, be careful in a hot tub, as beneath their bubbling fun lays a whole dirty world. According to Dawn Stacey of About.com and research conducted by the University of California, "sometimes residential (and commercial) hot tubs, pools and Jacuzzis are not chlorinated adequately, increasing the amount of bacteria they contain and the likelihood of an infection."
Finding a clean hot tub, and showering after the act, can help to avoid any issues.
So this summer, remember that keeping things wet can be fun for everyone - just not the beach patrol.
