Micah Evans, 20, of Norwich, was arrested at 11:49 p.m. at Celeron Square Apartments and charged with second degree reckless endangerment and second degree breach of peace. Officers observed Evans engaging in loud and destructive behavior. He was also seen throwing a plastic waffleball bat at police officers. Evans was given a May 5 court date. Bond was set at $2,500.
Jared Rothbard, 19, of Bridgewater, N.J., was arrested at 11:49 p.m. at Celeron Square Apartments and charged with second degree reckless endangerment and second degree breach of peace. Officers saw Rothbard engaging in loud and destructive behavior and throwing a plastic waffleball bat at police officers. He was given a May 6 court date. Bond was set at $2,500.
Daniel Olsen, 20, of Ledyard, was arrested at 11:49 p.m. at Celeron Square Apartments and charged with second degree reckless endangerment and second degree breach of peace. Officers observed Olsen throwing an open can of beer into the crowd in the direction of plain clothes officers on patrol. He was given a May 5 court date. Bond was set at $1,000.
Patrick Veale, 22, of Naugatuck, was arrested at Celeron Square Apartments and charged with second degree reckless endangerment and second degree breach of peace. Officers saw Veale throw an opened can of beer at a plain clothes officer, who was attempting to extinguish a recently set couch fire at Celeron Square Apartments. He was given a May 5 court date. Bond was set at $2,000.
Matthew Giannini, 21, of Durham, was arrested at 9:36 p.m. at North Garage and charged with possession of a controlled substance or less than four ounces of marijuana. Officers stopped a car in which Giannini was a passenger and found that he was in possession of 5.4 grams of marijuana. He was given a May 5 court date. Bond was set at $1,000.
Benjamin Cote, 20, of Simsbury, was arrested at 8:46 p.m. on North Eagleville Road and charged with failure to grant right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal management, distribution and sale of cannabis, possession of a controlled substance or less than four ounces of marijuana and possession of alcohol by a minor. According to police, Cote was stopped on North Eagleville Road for failing to grant the right of way to pedestrians in a crosswalk. After a brief investigation, Cote was found to be in possession of ten 12-ounce bottles of Corona beer, one 40-ounce bottle of Molson Ice beer and one 750 ml bottle of Overproof rum. He was also in possession of 8.1 grams of marijuana packaged in seven individual bags for street-level sales, packaging materials, cigars used for making marijuana blunts and $575 in cash, police said. He was given a May 5 court date. Bond was set at $5,000.
