Baseball: UConn at Notre Dame, Today, 6 p.m., Sat., 1 p.m., Sun., 1 p.m.
Chances are you haven't been following the baseball team very closely this season. Here's the quick rundown.
UConn was in the middle of the pack in terms of the Big East conference. That was until they were swept by St. John's last weekend. Now the team is in a virtual must-win situation against Notre Dame this weekend.
Notre Dame's Cole Johnson has pitched a combined 65.2 innings and boasts one of the league's best ERA with 4.11.
Men's and Women's track: Big East Championships, all weekend, at Villanova
Under coach Bill Morgan's reign, the Huskies have won three outdoor track Big East Championships. The Huskies are also coming off a Big East Championship in indoor track last winter.
Led by a stellar senior group, the Huskies will try to surpass Louisville, last year's outdoor champions.
The one you should attend:
Softball: Providence at UConn, Sat., 12 p.m., Sun., 2 p.m. at Connecticut softball field
Saturday is senior day for the Huskies. In a pre-game ceremony, the team will honor seniors Erin Burnter, Rachael Crossin, Danielle Del Ponte, Sarah Neuschwander, Jillian Ortega and Meghan Tierney.
This two-game series against the Friars will be the last two home games for the Huskies this season and will be the last two games of the regular season.
