NCAA Football

No. 9 LSU at No. 3 Alabama, Saturday, 3:30 p.m., CBS

As college football winds down in the following weeks, this game may be the most important game left for both of these teams.

A win for the Crimson Tide secures them the SEC West title, while a win for LSU puts them in great contention to take the SEC West title for themselves and a possible chance at playing in the National Championship game.

Alabama continues to showcase their strong defense, allowing just 11 points a game this season. The Tigers come into Saturday's matchup averaging 28 points a game.

NBA

Cleveland Cavaliers at New York Knicks, Friday, 8 p.m., ESPN

Who knows if LeBron James will end up playing for New York after the end of this season. All we do know, is that James plays out of his mind when he goes to Madison Square Garden. James averages over 35 points, eight rebounds and seven assists every time he plays in the Big Apple.

The Knicks have been struggling to start off the 2009-2010 season. At 1-4, coach Mike D'Antoni is still preaching his coveted "seven seconds or less" offensive philosophy.

Phoenix Suns at Boston Celtics, Friday, 7:30 p.m., NESN

The Suns are 4-1. The Celtics are 6-0. This game will be the classic great offense vs. great defense.

Steve Nash is leading the run-and-gun Suns back to the offensive style they had under coach Mike D'Antoni. Through the first five games, Nash is leading the league in assists-per-game at 10.8.

Paul Pierce has his team looking sharp, fresh and lethal. The addition of Rasheem Wallace has been tremendous for the Celtics who have been running down their opponents, especially in the fourth quarter.
