The items below list charges filed, not convictions. All persons appearing below are entitled to the due process of law and presumed innocent until proven guilty. Individual police blotters will be taken off the Web site three semesters after they have been posted.

De'Quan Muhammad, 18, of Hartford, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. on Palm Street in Hartford and charged with giving a false statement, hindering prosecution and interfering with an officer. Muhammad was arrested on the command of a Superior Court arrest warrant issued in relation to the investigation of the homicide of Jasper Howard. Muhammad was charged after he twice denied any knowledge of the stabbings and provided this denial to police investigators in two separate written statements. Information was subsequently received that showed Muhammad did have knowledge of the events that occurred during the altercation and stabbing, and that he told more than one person that he had witnessed the altercation. His bail was set at $200,000 and his court date was set for Nov. 3.
Justin Young, 28, of Willimantic, was arrested at 10:19 p.m. at the UConn Police Headquarters and charged with failure to appear. Young was arrested by UConn police on an active warrant after he failed to appear in court on May 19. The warrant stems from an incident on April 15, where Young was arrested for motor vehicle charges, including driving under suspension. His bail was set at $5,000 and his court date was set for Nov. 10.
Justin Young, 28, of Willimantic, was arrested at 11:06 p.m. at UConn Police Headquarters booking and charged with violation of probation. Young was arrested by UConn police on an active arrest warrant issued on Oct. 15. The warrant was issued for Young's arrest for violation of probation. His bail was set at $2,200 and his court date was set for Nov. 10.

Charlotte Freeland, 18, of Glastonbury, was arrested at 10:51 a.m. at the UConn Co-op and charged with larceny. Freeland was observed by Loss Prevention Staff select two items, valued at $24, place them into her pocket and leave the store without paying for them. She was released with a written promise to appear and her court date was set for Nov. 17.
