NFL
New England Patriots at Indianapolis Colts, Sunday 8:20 p.m., NBC
The Colts-Patriots matchup has slowly become one of the decade's most bitter rivalries. Simply put, the Colts and Patriots have been two of the most dominant AFC teams since 2001.
On one side of the ball you have future Hall-of-Famer Peyton Manning and on the other, you have future Hall-of-Famer Tom Brady.
Every year, these games seem to get closer and closer. Since 2001, the two teams have met up 11 times, with the Patriots holding the advantage 7-4.
The big questions still surround the Colts defense. Can their stellar pass defense hold up against Brady with the number of injuries they sustained in the past two weeks?
NBA
Los Angeles Lakers at Denver Nuggets, Friday 10:30 p.m., ESPN
Can anybody stop Carmelo Anthony? Or can anybody stop Kobe Bryant? The two All-Stars are leading the league in points per game with Anthony scoring 30.2 and Bryant scoring 33.6.
The Lakers and the Nuggets are among the best in the West - this is a potential Western Finals matchup. Kobe and company have won five straight games, including two in overtime. And they've been doing it without the down-low presence of Pau Gasol.
Denver is coming off a recent 108-102 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
NCAA Football
No. 10 Iowa at No. 11 Ohio State, Saturday 3:30 p.m. ABC
Iowa suffered their first loss of the season last week against Northwester after starting quarterback Ricky Stanzi suffered a severe ankle injury.
Ohio State is coming off a big win against then-No. 11 Penn State.
The Buckeyes haven't been to the Rose Bowl since 1996, while Iowa hasn't been since 1990. One of those droughts will change after this weekend.
